So here I am, fresh off a really amazing week and a half of road trip/camping/vacation time. I'm sorting through a million photos and already feeling the nostalgia of the week's events (still close enough to taste and feel) pulling at my heart strings.
While I'm in the midst of compiling photographic evidence, I thought I'd share with you my favourite music of the trip. We did a ton of driving and to say we listened to a lot of music would be an understatement.
Tyler and I tried something new this time around. We set our ipods to shuffle and got to listen to all the music hiding in the forgotten depths of our technological oceans of tunes. it meant we got to listen to cringe-worthy old stuff, super fresh new discoveries and stuff that we didn't even know we had.
So what was my favourite of the entire trip? Drumroll.....I am most definitely love-strung-out on Alvvays at the moment.
Tyler toured with these guys awhile back and they seem to be blowing up at the moment (and for good reason). Their music is so damn dreamy and catchy. Sonically, it's completely ear pleasing. It's smooth and kind of reminds me of the first dance with someone you like. Cheesy I know, but it dips and ducks unexpectedly in a way that catches you offguard and makes you want to keep up. It keeps your ears interested and is lyrically really incredible.
Check out my favourites - but, if you have the time, the whole album definitely warrants a listen.
